A graduate should be able to solve the following types of professional problems:
- choice of existing techniques or development of new research techniques;
- simulation of objects and processes for analysis and optimization of their parameters using available investigation facilities including standard software packages;
- development of pilot research programme and its implementation, including choice of technical facilities and results processing;
- working out reports and reviews based on research results;
- working out recommendations for practical application of the obtained results;
- analysis of scientific-and-technical problem state on basis of selection and study of literature and patent sources, definition of a goal and setting design problems;
- development of structure charts and functional schemes of radio-engineering systems and complexes as well as circuit diagrams using CAD facilities; making design calculations and working out technical and economic assessment of taken decisions;
- participation in pilot model testing of radio-engineering devices and systems, results processing;
- working out long-term and short-term plans of research and experimental works;
- establishment of business-like cooperation with co-executers with taking into account the situation formed in certain problem area.

Basic study programme includes studies for BSc degree in respective study area (4 years) and a 2-year specialized training for MSc degree.

A graduate may continue his studies for PhD degree mainly in the following research specialities:
