Admission requirements


Requirements to the education level:

  • when applying for bachelor programs, a student shall have the education level corresponding to the general secondary education;
  • when applying for master programs, a student shall have the education level corresponding to the bachelor’s education or higher;
  • when applying for PhD programs,a student shall have the education level corresponding to the specialist’s or master’s education.

Application procedure

  1. Register at the website.
  2. Fill in the application form and email it to tdr@istu.ru with the enclosed scan of international passport (pages 1 and 2) valid for at least 1.5 years from the date of entering the Russian Federation and scans of educational documents.
    In case the educational documents are not available at the date of submitting the application form, their scans can be sent till August 25, 2021.
  3. Take entrance examinations.

Upon arrival to the university, a student shall submit the following documents:

  1. International passport and its notarized translation into Russian.
  2. Original of the document of previous education and its notarized translation into Russian (if the document or at least one stamp on it is not in Russian).
  3. Certificate of legalization of the educational document (if required). The legalization procedure can be not required based on the Decree on International Agreements (see: Glavexpertcenter Moscow nic.gov.ru). For further inquiries regarding the legalization procedure necessity please contact Registration and Visa Sector of ISTU at tdr@istu.ru.
  4. Copy of the visa to the Russian Federation with the indication of the arrival purpose – «Studies at Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University», if the foreign national entered the Russian Federation with the entrance visa.
  5. Migration card issued when entering the Russian Federation.
  6. Medical certificate with the indication of vaccinations and HIV-free test.
  7. 6 matte photos 3 x 4 cm.
  8. Medical insurance to be bought upon arrival at bld. 5, office 800.
