Delegation of Jinggangshan University at Kalashnikov ISTU
On November 6 Kalashnikov ISTU hosted the delegation of Jinggangshan University (China). The aim of the meeting was the start of the joint study program of two universities – the bachelor program in Software Engineering Design. The unified register of joint study programs with all universities of the world is kept In China – it comprises over 2,500 such programs, three of them – with our university (the only one in Udmurt Republic).

On October 23-27 Harbin (Heilongjiang province, China) hosted IV China-Russia Forum on Science and Technology. About 200 scientists from 65 leading universities and research centers from Russia and China were its participants.
Dialog of international students from Udmurt Republic with AIS administration
On 15 October representatives of AIS Udmurt Branch from four universities of Udmurt Republic (Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Udmurt State Agrarian University, Glazov State University of Engineering and Pedagogics named after V.G. Korolenko) met with the President of Association of International Students Hassan Shafaeiand his deputy Alsindor Robenson in the frameworks of the forum «World in Dialog».
AIS Udmurt Branch — at the forum in Ufa
The Udmurt Branch of Association of International Students (AIS) headed by its President – a student of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Kalashnikov ISTU Perizat Turgunbaeva took part in XIII Congress of AIS held in Ufa on October 10-12.
A new president of AIS Udmurt Branch was elected
On 8 October Kalashnikov ISTU hosted the representatives of Udmurt Branch of Association of International Students (AIS) to elect a new head of the branch and discuss plans of work. Among the participants were International students of our university, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Udmurt State Agrarian University, Glazov State University of Engineering and Pedagogics named after V.G. Korolenko. The students were welcomed by Director of Institute of International Study Programs of Kalashnikov ISTU Alexey Ryabchikov, Director of Center of International Academic Cooperation of Kalashnikov ISTU Tatiana Savchenko and former president of AIS Branch in Glazov Merkhzod Dzhuraev.

XV track-and-field race «Dynamo Mile» took place at Dynamo Stadium in Izhevsk on September 13 and students of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University traditionally participated in it.
Ministry of Education of China included Kalashnikov ISTU into the list of leading partners
Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University became one of seven Russian universities approved for the realization of double degree study programs with China in 2025. The Ministry of Education of China approved the project of training specialists in software development implemented by Jinggangshan University and Kalashnikov ISTU.
International students of Kalashnikov ISTU ИжГТУ — participants of XV Eurasian Economics Youth Forum
In the period from 21 April till 25 April Ekaterinburg became the platform for XV Eurasian Economics Youth Forum (EEYF), having gathered 20,000 participants from 116 countries and 86 regions of Russia. The event was hosted by Ural State University of Economics and dedicated to «Eurasian Synergy: Multipolarity — Integration — Dialog of Civilizations».
Cultural exchange between Chinese students and Izhevsk schoolchildren
On April 18 the secondary school No 90 of Izhevsk hosted the event focused on arranging the dialog between Chinese students of Kalashnikov ISTU and pupils of Izhevsk schools with advanced learning of some subjects. The guests from China shared their knowledge of rich culture of their country: they spoke of Chinese history, etiquette nuances, traditional costumes and peculiarities of the national cuisine. Besides, they conducted master classes in calligraphy and Chinese songs.
Participation of Kalashnikov ISTU administration in the meeting with General Consul of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg
In April Izhevsk hosted the working meeting of representatives of Udmurt universities with the delegation of General Consulate of Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg, during which the Udmurt universities were presented with the focus on study programs and study opportunities for international students.
Rector’s reception of Chinese students
On October 15 Kalashnikov ISTU welcomed Chinese students who had come to learn the Russian language and follow up with bachelor studies in linguistics, physics and mathematics.

On June 04, 2024 the delegation of Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry (JVCAF) visited Kalashnikov ISTU. During the official meeting, Vice-Rector of JVCAF Bi Dequan and Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU Aleksandr Gubert signed Memorandum of Understanding and Protocol on Joint Study Program «Landscape Design Technology».

Professor of Kalashnikov ISTU Eduard Krylov is elected IFToMM Chairman for Education
In the period 5 – 10 October, Tokyo hosted the 16th World Congress of International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). The Congress, held every four years, gathered over 500 participants from all over the world. They presented 353 reports in robotics and mechatronics, computational kinematics, dynamics of multimass systems, engines and power plants, power engineering systems, education in the theory of mechanisms and machines (TMM), gearings, link mechanisms and actuators of control systems, micromachines, biomechanics, tribology, dynamics of rotor systems, TMM history, reliability, transport mechanical engineering, oscillations and vibrations.
Visit of ISTU administration to China: results and future plans
On October 22-30 the delegation of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University represented by Acting Rector Aleksandr Gubert and Director of Institute of International Study Programs Alexey Ryabchikov visited People’s Republic of China. The visit of our university administration to PRC was another event in the frameworks of the major strategic program of developing partner relations of Kalashnikov ISTU with Chinese research and educational institutions.
Victory of our student at BRICS Games 2023
The fifth international BRICS Games 2023 took place in Durban (SAR) in the period October 18-21. Over 450 athletes from Brazil, Russia, India, China and SAR took part in the competitions. The Russian team was the first in the team scoring having won 59 medals, including 35 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze.
