A new president of AIS Udmurt Branch was elected

On 8 October Kalashnikov ISTU hosted the representatives of Udmurt Branch of Association of International Students (AIS) to elect a new head of the branch and discuss plans of work. Among the participants were International students of our university, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Udmurt State Agrarian University, Glazov State University of Engineering and Pedagogics named after V.G. Korolenko. The students were welcomed by Director of Institute of International Study Programs of Kalashnikov ISTU Alexey Ryabchikov, Director of Center of International Academic Cooperation of Kalashnikov ISTU Tatiana Savchenko and former president of AIS Branch in Glazov Merkhzod Dzhuraev.

Perizat Turgunbaeva, a student of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of our university was elected the new president of AIS Udmurt Branch. She thanked all those present for the credibility and assured that all events of Udmurt Branch will be aimed at creating a friendly environment for international students from the date of their arrival in Udmurt Republic. Perizat came to study in Izhevsk from Uzbekistan, she knows several languages: Uzbek, Kazakh, Turkish, Tajik, Russian and some English.

She will represent AIS Udmurt Branch at AIS forum to take place in Ufa from 9 till 12 October. The forum will gather around 165 guests from different countries. Perizat Turgunbaeva will be accompanied by Jing Xuankai, a student of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Kalashnikov ISTU from China, as well as representatives of AIS Udmurt Branch from other universities of our republic.
