Chinese delegation visited Kalashnikov ISTU

On 14 May the Chinese delegation from educational corporation «Henan Shuishi Educational Technology Co. Ltd» visited Kalashnikov ISTU.  Our university has been working with them for the third year already and it’s already their second visit to us. The aim of the visit was to extend cooperation between the universities and schools of our countries.

The official reception of Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU Mikhail Pisarev was arranged in the conference room of building 1. Among the meeting participants were: Acting Vice-Rector for Studies Olga Varfolomeeva, Head of Educational Department Maria Maiorova, Director of Institute of International Study Programs Alexey Ryabchikov, Director of Center of International Academic Cooperation Tatiana Savchenko. Henan Shuishi Educational Technology Co. Ltd was represented by Zhao Changle, President and Wang Bo, General Director.

In his opening speech Mikhail Pisarev addressed the Chinese partners:

— Dear colleagues! We are glad to welcome you on Udmurt land! It is especially important that you visited our university in person. It is definitely a great honor for us. I would like to highlight that we really appreciate and respect what you are doing and sincerely hope that our interactions will be developing in many spheres and in the interests of our countries.  

During the meeting the guests told about their corporation, projects, achievements and goals.

In his speech Alexey Ryabchikov pointed out the main milestones of collaboration with the Chinese partners:

— This cooperation started two years ago and quite a lot has been done so far. First of all, two exhibitions of Udmurt and Russian universities were arranged with the participation of Henan Shuishi Educational Technology Co. Ltd in Henan. Secondly, it is very important that the platform for training talented youth to entering our university has been arranged in partner secondary schools. In 2024 first 10 Chinese students entered our university. We hope that this year more smart and trained students from this corporation will come to us. Moreover, the corporation helped to arrange our online presentation in partner schools. And, probably the next step – joint study programs. We have already discussed three programs and are ready to continue with the next steps of their implementation.

The friendly and confidential discussion covered those issues as well, after that Wang Bo presented the projects of the corporation.

Mikhail Pisarev summarized:

— For the proper communication it is important to know the counterpart’s culture well. Therefore, the immersion into each other’s culture starting from school years, it’s what you are exactly dealing with right now, is really vital. And, consequently, when Russian young people study in Chinese universities and Chinese — in ours, makes us confident that in future our relations will continue to develop.
