Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering was established in 1976 after the division of Department of Industrial and Agricultural Construction. With time the fast development of constructional industry in the Udmurt Republic required specialists-technologists to work at house-building factories and precast yards. In 1987 the Department started training engineers in production of assembly items and structures, at the same time, the research activities in environmental protection and resource-saving technologies were intensified.

Research Areas:

• Modification of mineral binding matrixes by carbon nanosystems
• Application of fine systems to improve physical and chemical properties of constructional compositions based on calcium sulfate
• Utilization of technogenic raw material resources to develop constructional materials
• Development of silicate paint and varnish materials with screening effect for finishing building facades
• Improvement of efficiency of natural beds and foundations
