Slovakia is getting closer

In the framework of the cooperation agreement between Kalashnikov ISTU and Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín our university hosted the group from Slovak Republic from 17 April to 11 May, 2013.

Two professors (Ján Zápotočný and Lukaš Bridík) read lectures to undergraduate and master students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Kalashnikov ISTU entitled “Application of lasers in machine part manufacturing technology” and “Increasing the barrel surface hardness from the point of improving the small arms quality”, respectively.

Besides, they and six students of the Faculty of Special Technology of Alexander Dubček University attended the lecture “Computational methods in engineering” by Prof. Ali Aliev, got acquainted with educational and research laboratories of the Department of Mechatronic Systems, visited cultural and historical places in Izhevsk, Kazan, attended ethnic outdoor museum “Ludorvai”, museum of the automotive plant, museum of the plant “Izhmash”, Kalashnikov museum.
