Research partnership
During the visit of our delegation to Brno, Czech Republic, Rector Prof. Boris Yakimovich and director of CEITEC BUT Prof. Ing. Radimir Vrba, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology is a joint project of the Brno University of Technology, Masaryk University and five other partner institutions in Brno. CEITEC is to build a modern high-tech scientific research center in Brno. It is responsible for two research programs: Advanced Nanotechnologies and Microtechnologies and Advanced Materials.
The Memorandum aims at pursuing a long-term collaboration in the field of nanotechnology, nanoscience, and materials science. This includes planning, formulation and implementation of joint projects on common research topics, e.g. nanotechnology, electron microscopy, novel materials and nanotribology. The collaboration will give the researches of Kalashnikov ISTU vast opportunities for training in the foregoing fields, participating in joint seminars, workshops conferences and summer schools. It also implies the academic mobility programs and information exchange.
The coordinators appointed for the project implementation: Prof. Alexander Korshunov, Vice-Rector for Research of Kalashnikov ISTU and Dr. Jan Ostřížek, Head of International Office, CEITEC BUT.
