EQ-2014: the second dayThe schedule of the second day of the conference was more eventful: in every building of our university there were workshop meetings (eight workshops worked), round tables, Forum of Young Researchers, seminars, exhibitions, presentations, etc.

The day started with the round table of rectors of Russian and foreign universities, where the ways to realize the international cooperation in the higher educaton were discussed. On this meeting rectors and vice-rectors of Udmurt Republic universities, the University of Aalen (Germany), ZEH company (Germany), Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (Germany), Egyptian-Russian University (Egypt), the University of A. Dubček (Slovakia), the Unviersity of Pécs (Hungary), Brno University of technology (Czech republic), the South-Moravian Centre for Internationl mobility (Czech Republic) gathered.

Participants listened to the reports on the experience of international cooperation of Udmurt State University, educational concepts of combining the practice and scientific research on the example of eco-friendly electroplating, presented by the German compaby ZEH, and the problems and perspectives of teachers training for the secondary school on the experience of Glazov pedagogical institute.

After that the participants of the round table answered the questions of journalists. Representatives of mass media were interested in the issues related to the system of assessment of the university work efficiency in Russia and abroad on the basis of rankings.

As the Emeretus rector of the University of Aalen, Ekbert Hering noted, for the university he represented it is important not the place in the rating, but employment of the graduates. Honoris Causa of Kalashnikov ISTU and representative of the University of Pécs (Hungary), Jozsef Orban joined to the E.Hering: “We are looking primiraly at the employment of our graduates and their results”.

After press-conference delegations went to the Administration of Izhevsk, where held the solemn signing of the agreements of cooperation on the education and science between Kalashnikov ISTU and the Unviersity of Pécs, and between ISTU and the South –Moravian Center for International Mobility.

An art exhibition of Peter Jönk, director of research center “Dresden-Rossendorf” and the photographer, gathered all the lovers of his art. Exhibitions of Peter Jönk are held in the university regularly. New exhibition is called “The order of things” and is based on the phylosophical concept.

After opening the exhibition, guests went to the Center of Czech language and culture, where held the presentation “Support of talanted scientists in the South-Moravian region”(http://photos.istu.ru/thumbnails.php?album=244), which was presented by the director of the South-Moravian center for International Mobility, Miloš Šifalda.
