The school in sport programming was opened at Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University
On September 29 the XIV International school in student sport programming was opened in Students’ Palace “Integral”, which is will be hosted by Kalashnikov ISTU from September 29 until October9.
This time around 15 teams from 10 universities from Russia and CIS will solve programming tasks. Apart from Kalashnikov ISTU team, there are: International University of Information Technologies, Kazakhstan; Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University; National University of Science and Technology "MISIS"; Perm National Research Polytechnic University; Lomonosov Moscow State University (the faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics); Tomsk Polytechnic University; South Ural State University; Buryat State University; Tyumen State Oil and Gas University.
The next XV International school will be hosted by Kalashnikov ISTU in spring of 2015 and will go with the symbol of 175th anniversary of Peter Tchaikovsky. No one knows how music of the famous composer will combine with sport programming. That will be a surprise!
For the next two weeks the participants of XIV International school in student sport programming will also attend the lectures by Prof. Ivan Abramov and local historian, writer, lecturer of Kalashnikov ISTU Sergei Selivanovsky. The rich social and sport program with city excursions and visiting Republic museums will be arranged as well.

Finally, here is some interesting statistics:
- During 9 days of training, programmers need 5 hours per day for solving exercises
- For analysis and making the final answer, programmers need around 3 hours per day
- Traditionally, during this period programmers participate in 4-5 tournaments. Today these are: Cup of the Head of the Udmurt Republic, Cup of SKB “Kontur”, Tournament “Yandex”, Cup of the General Sponsor and Cup of the Rector of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University
