95th birthday of Mikhail Kalashnikov

Prof. Boris Yakimovich, Rector of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University congratulated professors, staff members and students:

“Dear professors, colleagues and students of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, dear friends!

Today, on November 10 legendary weapon designer, who gave his name to our University, would have been 95. This is a great holiday for all of us and during the whole day Kalashnikov ISTU will celebrate this memorable event with ceremonies in which the professors and students will be involved.

With all my heart I congratulate you with this remarkable day – the birthday of Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov! When our University was awarded the name of Kalashnikov, Mikhail Timofeyevich said: “...Personally for me it’s a great honor to give my name to the University, which has so many wonderful, qualified graduates”. And I believe that Kalashnikov ISTU will justify this confidence and continue the best traditions of Russian weapon and engineering school!”
