Entrepreneurs from China visited Kalashnikov ISTU

China-visit-1-On 25th of September the delegation from the city of Xi’an (China) consisted of 12 people visited Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University (ISTU). The visit was organized within the framework of RCYBI (Russian-Chinese Youth Business Incubator) – a unique acceleration program designed to bring Russian projects to foreign markets and attract foreign investments into the Russian economy.

Rector of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University Prof. Valery Grakhov addressed the welcome speech to the guests speaking about the history of our institution and its main activities. Also, the guests watched the video dedicated to ISTU.

Then each member of the Chinese delegation told about himself and possible directions of cooperation. The delegation from China consisted of directors and representatives of commercial companies and investors.

One of such directions is the project that was presented by Xiaorui Hou, Vice President of Xi’an International Talent Exchange Association. It consists in organizing joint camp shifts for young people to get acquainted with culture, science and technology, history and education of our two countries.

Xiaorui Hou said, «...Shanxi Province ranks third in the country in the number of universities. Therefore, there are many opportunities for cooperation. It is possible to develop an exchange program between students for one semester. Short-term programs in history, culture and technology are still available for international students. Shanxi universities annually accept students from all over the world to participate in such programs. We are also considering the exchange of teachers within the framework of cooperation».

Among the discussed topics of cooperation there are possible exchange of technologies in the construction of residential buildings, roads, earth tunnels and bridges, treatment facilities and systems, cooperation in the field of commercial entrepreneurship and more.

Students of Shanxi Professional Technical Institute of Railway Engineering Li Zheng and Wang Pengfei expressed hope for active cooperation in the field of experience exchange between young professionals and implementation of international educational internships for students and teachers.

At the end of the meeting, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations of Kalashnikov ISTU Andrey Kuznetsov expressed hope for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Director of ISTU Business Incubator Sergey Pigalev said, «I can express our interest and readiness to create Russian-Chinese direction on the basis of ISTU in the framework of the Business Incubator and thus – to participate in the development of business cooperation between Chinese and Russian business».
