Russian language – as the language of future profession

Foreign students studying at the Department «Russian as a foreign language» started learning Russian language as the language of their future profession in October.

Currently, students from traditional for Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University countries – Egypt, Syria and Senegal, as well as from the new ones for us – Haiti, Tunisia, Burundi, Guinea, Bangladesh, Tanzania – study Russian language at our university. In total, there are twenty students, according to the experience of previous years, large flow is expected in early December. In the future, the foreign students are planning to study at Kalashnikov ISTU on the programs of bachelor, master and PhD programs.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Education and Science this year allocated 10 scholarships to foreign students, which is a sign of high appreciation of the work of the Instituteof International Study Programsin general and teachers of the Department «Russian as a foreign language» in particular. Two government-subsidized students – from Egyptand Guinea– have already arrived in Russiaand started studying. In parallel with the Russian language course, the students attended the course «Socio-cultural basics of interethnic communication in Russia», aimed at introducing foreign students with the peculiarities of multinational and multi-religious life of people in our region.
