Victory of our student at BRICS Games 2023

brics-0The fifth international BRICS Games 2023 took place in Durban (SAR) in the period October 18-21. Over 450 athletes from Brazil, Russia, India, China and SAR took part in the competitions. The Russian team was the first in the team scoring having won 59 medals, including 35 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze.

The first-year student of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Kalashnikov ISTU Andrei Volkov was in the Russian national team in swimming (under 20 years) and demonstrated excellent results winning 4 medals:

  • gold medal in medley relay 4×100 m;
  • 3 silver medals: butterfly 50 m, freestyle relay 4×100 m, and freestyle relay 4×50 m.
