Ministry of Education of China included Kalashnikov ISTU into the list of leading partners

mo-knrKalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University became one of seven Russian universities approved for the realization of double degree study programs with China in 2025. The Ministry of Education of China approved the project of training specialists in software development implemented by Jinggangshan University and Kalashnikov ISTU.

— Kalashnikov ISTU has been actively cooperating with Chinese universities for three years. The launch of this program is a part of this collaboration and this is already the second double degree program approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Today, over 100 Chinese students are studying at our university, the Center of Chinese Language and Culture is functioning. In April we organized the trip of administration of Izhevsk and Novosibirsk educational institutions to China, aimed at establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities, pointed out the Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU Aleksandr Gubert.

The bachelor program will be implemented following the 3+1 scheme: three years in China, the fourth — in Russia. 120 students will be enrolled to the program every year. Kalashnikov ISTU is also working on double degree study programs in other fields.

As a reminder: in fall 2024 the Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU Aleksandr Gubert and Director of the Institute of International Study Programs Alexey Ryabchikov visited China. During the visit they discussed issues connected with the process of submitting applications and approving joint projects with Chinese educational institutions, including Jinggangshan University.
