Russian-Egyptian friendship. A new round of cooperation
On October 18 the meeting with the participation of university administration and Prof. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdelnaby, President of Egyptian-Russian University was organized.
Prof. Valery Grakhov, Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU, Dr. Aleksandr Gubert, Vice-Rector for Studies, Dr. Alexey Ryabchikov, Head of Department of International Education and Cooperation, Dr. Mikhail Leonov, Head of Department of Economy and Finance, Dr. Aleksandr Elensky, Director of Institute of Professional Translation, Dr. Albert Abilov, Dean of the Faculty of Instrumentation Engineering, Prof. Grigory Yakovlev, Head of Department of Geo-Engineering and Constructional Materials, as well as other specialists of our university took part in the meeting.
Prof. Grakhov heartily welcomed the honorable guest and expressed his confidence in strengthening the cooperation between our universities:
«I am happy to see Prof. Sherif in the new status of ERU President. Our universities have been linked together with friendly and mutually beneficial relations in science and education for a long time already. The joint scientific conferences are annually organized. First of all, our collaboration is targeted at teaching students. I am sure our friendship will become stronger».
During the meeting, the duration of studies of Egyptian students at Kalashnikov ISTU, financial issues and possibilities of making changes in the formation of students’ groups were covered. It was agreed that the acceptable number of students in one group should be minimum 15.
After the meeting Prof. Sherif together with the colleagues from Kalashnikov ISTU attended the opening of the exhibition at the Faculty of Advertising and Design and Museum of Small Arms at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
