Department of Linguistics was established in 2005 as an educational-research division of Faculty of Economics, Law and Humanities aimed at improving the level of teaching linguistic disciplines at the university, in particular, Russian language, speech standard, rhetoric, stylistics, as well as the development of different areas and opening of programs combining linguistics with mathematics, informatics and programming.
