This academic year started with the arrival of Martin Horn, a teacher of Czech language from South Moravian Centre for International Mobility in Brno. Martin teaches Czech language in the Institute of Translators of our university. Classes are held both for beginners and for those who continue study of this language. Also there are classes for pupils.
Soon after Martin Horn, our University met teachers of English language from Great Britain, Holly Jones and Craig Saunders. Craig studied history in University of Edinburgh, also he is interested in the history of Russia. Holly studied Russian and French languages in the same university. In 2012, she had training at State University of Saint Petersburg. Holly and Craig will teach English language to ordinary students and to students studying in the Institute of Translators.
If you are interested in studying Spanish, courses of Spanish language are offered. These courses are conducted by Angel Antonio Salvador Ferrer, a teacher from University of Granada.
Foreign teachers are coming not only for students. Lecturers of our university were lucky to attend the course of English language improving. The teacher of this course was Susan Dugdale, a teacher of English language from New Zealand, the author of original technique of diction and phonetics training. Her classes were very intensive. The course consisted of diction, articulation, breathing, phonetics, body language, and vocal variety, melody of speech (rhythms and pauses).
It is very important that our university has an opportunity to invite foreign teachers. Attending the classes of native-speakers, students can learn all the peculiarities of language, they will be able to understand another culture and mentality. Communication with foreign teachers can give students not only pleasure, but also great experience.
