Kalashnikov ISTU in the international rankings of universities

As of the end of 2013 year Kalashnikov ISTU got into the following reputable international rankings.

1. Academic Ranking of World Universities – European Standard.

Ranking is based on the parameters of so-called “Golden European Standard”. Such criteria as scientific work, international cooperation, demand for graduates and employers references, results of monitoring, international recognitions of lecturers were evaluated. The ranking of universities was carried out by means of a 9-point international system: three highest levels A (AAA, AA, A), three sufficient levels B (BBB, BB, B) and three satisfactory levels C (CCC, CC, C). All the other universities are considered as “below the rating”.

2 678 universities are in the Euro-ranking, of which 58 Russian universities.

In this ranking Kalashnikov ISTU takes 19^th place of top 20 universities in Russia with a top-level category A. In the top three Russian leaders are Lomonosov Moscow State University (rating AA+), National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University (rating AA)

2. Worldwide Professional University Rankings is the top 500 world universities, which takes into account the relations of the three components: academic opportunities of a university (academic ranking); sociability of university web-page, image (public ranking) of a university. Experts are the members of International Council of Scientists, university professors from more than 40 countries. The first place in this list is taken by Harvard University (USA), and the last place is for National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” (Russia).

Kalashnikov ISTU takes 342^th place in the top 500 world universities “Worldwide Professional University Rankings”.

3. Webometrics 2013. In January 2014 the results of Webometrics (Ranking Web of Universities) were announced. The ranking has been performed from 2004 and published twice a year (in June or July and January). It is formed by Cybermetrics Lab of Spanish National Research Council, CSIC under the Ministry of Science and Innovations of Spain. Nowadays more than 20 000 universities of most Web-activity are analyzed.

Kalashnikov ISTU takes 5 154^th place from 11 992 universities in the world list; in the Russian ranking of Webometrics Kalashnikov ISTU takes 157^th place from 1 197 Russian universities.
