Graduates of Kalashnikov ISTU are among winners of Delcam international contest
Official ceremony of awarding the winners of XV international contest of student works organized by Delcam took place in Moscow residence of Timothy Barrow, Ambassador of the Great Britain in the Russian Federation. Among winners were two master graduates of Kalashnikov ISTU. The contest was highly competitive. Over 100 works from Russia and Ukraine were represented in the finals.
The graduates of the master program “Special Technologies in Mechanical Engineering” Yulia Danilova and Nailya Galimzyanova took the 3rd and 4th places, respectively.
The girls were invited to the foregoing official ceremony which took place on 27 January with participation of Martin Harris, Plenipotentiary Minister, Deputy Head of the Great Britain Mission in the Russian Federation, Chris Edwards, President of Jury, Director of Delcam in Russia and Europe and Nataly Pogodaeva, Director of university program “Delcam”. The winners got nominal premiums, valuable presents and diplomas.
Prof. Boris Yakimovich, Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU and Dr. Alexey Bazhin, one of research advisors, Associate Professor of the Department of Designing and Technological Preparation of Machine-Building Production came to support our winners.
The declared projects were based on the results of graduation projects in the field of programming the designing systems and parts production.
Yulia Danilova worked on comparative analysis of part measurement methods of spiroid gearboxes for tube fittings. Nailya Galimzyanova worked on the research of heat treatment influence on geometrical accuracy of spiroid gears of tube fitting gearboxes.
On the results of Yulia Danilova’s work Delcam published the article “Application of CAI-system PowerINSPECT together with portable CMM by CimCore for controlling the production accuracy of gearbox bodies” in journals: “CAD systems and graphics” (Moscow, publishing house “ComputerPress”. – No 11, 2014. – 99-101 pp) and “Set: TTE” (Tool. Technology. Equipment)” (Moscow, publishing house “ITO”. – No 11, 2014 – 22-25 pp).
