Technological Center of National Instruments was opened at Kalashnikov ISTU

On June 16 the Research and Educational Center of National Instruments – one of the world leaders in developing virtual instruments – was openedat the Faculty of Instrumentation Engineering of Kalashnikov ISTU.

The Technological Center of National Instruments will host undergraduate and postgraduate students, academic and research staff of Kalashnikov ISTU and other universities of the Udmurt Republic, representatives of profile enterprises of the Udmurt Republic in LabVIEW medium and application of hardware by official authorized programs and courses of National Instruments.

According to Dr. Andrey Kopysov, Head of Department of Radio Engineering, the establishment of Center of National Instruments at Kalashnikov ISTU has undergone a number of stages since 2012. The Center is equipped with the most modern facilities for about 15 million rubles. The material-technical base of the Center was financed due to our university’s victory in the contests of Federal programs. Part of the equipment was handed by our partner company – OJSC “Aksion-Holding”.

The Research and Educational Center of National Instruments is located in two rooms of the second building of Kalashnikov ISTU and comprises the educational center with computer laboratory and research laboratory of digital radio measuring means with six workplaces.

Today, there are 14 technological centers of National Instruments in Russia and CIS, and now the 15th center is in Kalashnikov ISTU.
