Kalashnikov ISTU – number 61 in RA RAEX ranking

Ranking agency RAEX (Expert RA) made up the fifth annual ranking of Russian HEIs.

When making up the ranking, the statistics, as well as the poll results of 28,000 respondents: employers, academicians, scientists, students and alumni were used. Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University took the 61^st position in the ranking «100 best Russian HEIs» against the 69^th position in 2015.

The first three leaders of the ranking remained the same: Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI». The ranking leaders provide the high degree of education and are the best in the field of research proved by the statistics and reputation.

The best universities in RAEX ranking, especially technical and medical ones, are actively cooperating with employers. As a rule, future engineers and doctors have ample opportunities to acquire practical skills during studies, which is very important for their employment after graduation. For example, at MEPhI during the academic year over 60% of students had training in base departments established by the university and employers.

RAEX (Expert RA) rankings have been published annually starting from 2012. The aim – to evaluate a HEI capabilities to provide alumni with high-quality education and skills based on the conditions for their obtaining and application results.

The ranking agency RAEX (Expert RA) became the first organization in Russia and fourth in the world whose HEIs’ rankings have successfully passed the international audit IREG Observatory – the largest association of originators and consumers of educational rankings from over 20 countries. In 2016 the agency got the right to use the label «IREG Approved», which confirms that the methodology of Russian HEIs’ rankings by RAEX (Expert RA), their preparation procedure and presentation of results conform to the high-quality standards.
