Kalashnikov ISTU – Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava: quarter-century of cooperation
On 16-20 October the delegation of Kalashnikov ISTU visited Slovakia. The visit was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava (Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava).
– Our cooperation with the colleagues from Trnava and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava has been lasting for over half of a century – commented Prof. Boris Yakimovich, Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU on the results of the visit. – The first contacts were initiated by Dr. Jozef Mudrik, a well-known scientist, Vice-Dean of the Faculty in Trnava at that time who became a good friend of our university and its Doctor Honoris Causa, Prof. Veniamin Goldfarb and Prof. Ivan Abramov a former Rector of Izhevsk Mechanical Institute (ISTU). In the frameworks of the visit the Agreement of Cooperation in the fields of engineering study programs, hi-tech research and academic mobility between Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and Kalashnikov ISTU was prolonged. And we believe that this is a key to the future. We are grateful to our Slovak partners for mutual understanding, readiness to work together, effective interaction in all endeavors, as well as the high evaluation of our contribution to cooperation (the members of Izhevsk delegation were awarded the honorary awards of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava for the contribution to the development of the university).
