Delegation of Slovak partner universities visited Kalashnikov ISTU
The delegation of Slovak partner universities visited Kalashnikov ISTU. Two Slovak universities were represented by Pavel Božek, Professor of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Doctor Honoris Causa of our university and his colleagues from University of Žilina (UNIZA) – Prof. Milan Sága, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Ivan Kuric, Vice-Dean for Development and International Relations, Head of Department of Automation of Manufacturing Systems.
On May 28 the delegation had the meeting with Prof. Valery Grakhov, Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU and university administration.
During the meeting Dr. Alexey Ryabchikov, Head of Department of International Education and Cooperation made the presentation of Kalashnikov ISTU, in turn, Prof. Milan Sága presented University of Žilina and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
University of Žilina is one year younger than our university, initially it was developed as a specialized institute of transport; today it is a multi-profile technical university with 7 faculties and about 9,000 students of all levels.
Within 4 days spent by our Slovak guests in Udmurt Republic, they got acquainted with Kalashnikov ISTU, visited our faculties and laboratories, as well as the branch in Votkinsk.
In the end of the official meeting the Agreement of Cooperation between Kalashnikov ISTU and University of Žilina was signed.
