The team of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University at the European Congress in Minsk

The most important event in the field of automotive industry in Europe – XVI European automobile Congress (EAEC-2019), organized by our long-term partner Belarusian National Technical University with the support of the Academic Automobile Association was hosted by the National Library of Belarus from 7 to 10 October.

The Automotive Congress draws attention to the technological information and trends that drive the automotive industry forward. It featured the latest innovations of companies and universities in the region, including Germany, France, Italy. As in the previous years, the Congress became a representative professional platform for 200 engineers and managers from 26 countries from Europe, Asia, America, Africa, who gathered to exchange knowledge and form joint works in the field of creating environmentally friendly, safe, modern road transport.

At XVI Congress Kalashnikov ISTU was represented by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations Prof. Andrey Kuznetsov, Prof. Nikolai Filkin and Director of the Institute of Educational Technologies Dr. Maria Tarasova who made the presentation «Contactless automated rapid assessment of damage to the car body by visual parameters».
