4 students of Kalashnikov ISTU are taking part in the finals of National Championship in WorldSkills
On 1 – 7 December the Finals of National Interuniversity Championship «Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)» will take place. As a result of coronavirus infection, the championship is arranged in online/in-person format.
770 university students from 39 Russian regions, as well as foreign competitors from Belarus, Hong Kong, India, China, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, Croatia, Ecuador and Estonia will take part in the contest. They will compete in 63 competencies.
The Finals are preceded by university championships, as a result of which 4 ISTU best students in 3 competencies were selected: Evgeny Shklyaev («Operation of unmanned air systems»), Anton Avdeev and Aleksandra Nazarova («Entrepreneurship»), and Elena Veretennikova («Graphic design»).
The participants will perform the tasks in ISTU controlled by web-cameras. The tasks will be analyzed by the republican experts, as well as by those from the competition control centers located in Moscow in National Research Nuclear University and Moscow Polytechnic University.
Kalashnikov ISTU joined WorldSkills movement 4 years ago. During these years our students have already become gold-medal winners twice and won silver and bronze medals in three competencies, and two junior bronze medals have been won by Izhevsk schoolchildren – graduates of ISTU courses in Internet of Things.
