Solemn sitting of Senate
The solemn sitting of Senate took place in Integral on February 22, in the day of the 70th anniversary of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University. Unfortunately, epidemiologic restrictions imposed limits and it was impossible to gather as many people as before. But those who wished could watch the event online.
Those present in Integral:
- Doctors Honoris Causa of Kalashnikov ISTU, vice-rectors
- Deans and directors of faculties/institutes and branches of Kalashnikov ISTU
- Delegation of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Oliver Moravčík, Rector, Doctor Honoris Causa of Kalashnikov ISTU, Štefan Stanko, Vice-Rector for Informatics and Sport, Maximilián Strémy, Vice-Rector for Strategic Projects and Development, Pavol Božek, a professor of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava, Doctor Honoris Causa of Kalashnikov ISTU)
- Tibor Krenický, an associate professor of Technical University of Košice, Slovakia
- Honored alumni of Kalashnikov ISTU
- Representatives of partner companies of Kalashnikov ISTU
The sitting was opened by Aleksandr Gubert, Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU. In his address, Dr. Gubert said about the changes the university underwent during its history, about its current infrastructure and people, future perspectives.
The congratulatory speeches were made by Fanil Ziyatdinov, General Director of Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant «Kupol», Oleg Zhuravlev on behalf of Association of Honored Alumni of ISTU, Oliver Moravčík, Rector of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
The video addresses were made by Oleg Garin, a deputy of State Duma of Russia and Oleg Bekmemetiev, Head of Izhevsk.
In the next part, the corresponding regalia were given to Doctors Honoris Causa of Kalashnikov ISTU: Sergey Kugultinov, a professor of Department of Technology of Weapon System Production, Olga Muravieva, a professor of Department of Instruments and Methods of Measurements, Control, Diagnostics, Nikolai Sivtsev, a professor of Department of Designing and Technological Preparation of Machine-Building Production, Valentin Tenenev, a professor of Department of Higher Mathematics, and Thomas Raeder, Manager for Research and Validation of LESER GmbH & Co KG, Hamburg, Germany.
After that the regalia of Honored Alumni were given to representatives of different companies and organizations.
