Online meeting: Kalashnikov ISTU and Jinan Zhishang Education Group

In April Kalashnikov ISTU signed the Cooperation Agreement with Chinese Zhishang Education Group, Jinan, Shandong Province.

In the frameworks of this agreement implementation the first online meeting of ISTU representatives with schoolchildren from 10 schools of the Group was organized on May 6. The participants of the meeting were over 800 high school graduates studying the Russian language, school directors and Group administration.

In his opening address Alexey Ryabchikov, Director of the Institute of International Study Programs pointed out the importance of cooperation between Russian and Chinese educational institutions in today’s conditions, opportunities and perspectives of the graduates of Zhishang Education Group during their studies at our university. He continued: «The implementation of the joint educational project of ISTU and Zhishang Education Group will allow its graduates to continue their education in study programs of higher education in Russian at our university. For this, we’ll establish the examination center in Zhishang Education Group. In turn, our lecturers will take part in teaching the Chinese schoolchildren of the Group the Russian language and a number of specialized courses, such as mathematics, economics, etc.»

Then the Chinese schoolchildren got acquainted with ISTU campus, Izhevsk and Udmurt Republic, and asked numerous questions about the admission procedure to Russian-taught bachelor programs this year.

The meeting with the schoolchildren was followed up by the discussion of ISTU representatives and Group administration about further cooperation.
