Department of Communication Networks and Telecommunication Systems: defense of graduation projects

State Examination Commission on State Final Attestation of graduates in study area 11.03.02 «Info-communication technologies and communication systems» completed its work. This year, the bachelor’s degree was granted not only to the students of Kalashnikov ISTU but also to the students of Egyptian-Russian University (ERU) studying in double-degree programs.

As the Chairman of the Commission Andrey Firsov, Head of the Department of the Udmurt Branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise «General Radio Frequency Centre» in Privolzhsky Federal District pointed out the considerable part of graduation projects correspond to the demands of the regional labor market, for example, «Development and organization of telecommunication network in GPON technology for Yagan-Dokja settlement of Udmurt Republic». The works of international students dedicated to modern technologies in communication also satisfied modern challenges.

The first graduation of master students in study program 11.04.0202 «Info-communication technologies and communication systems» majoring in Internet of things and artificial intelligence was also impressive. The future specialists possessing the skills of scientific approaches to solving technical problems demonstrated not only the high level but also the possibilities of artificial intelligence. The Chairman of State Examination Commission Sergey Tulchinsky, Director of the Udmurt Branch of Public Joint-Stock Company «Rostelecom» pointed out the topicality of the young specialists’ solutions for modern challenges, for instance, «Development of smart methods to improve the video stream transmission from an unmanned aerial vehicle», as well as the correspondence of the works’ topics with the demands of federal labor market, for example, «Technique of human images’ recognition using smart systems on unmanned aerial vehicles».
