Kalashnikov ISTU is launching the joint study program with Chinese partners

On June 04, 2024 the delegation of Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry (JVCAF) visited Kalashnikov ISTU. During the official meeting, Vice-Rector of JVCAF Bi Dequan and Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU Aleksandr Gubert signed Memorandum of Understanding and Protocol on Joint Study Program «Landscape Design Technology».

Students will be enrolled based on 3+1 scheme: they will study at JVCAF for 3 years and one final year – at our university. About one-third of courses will be taught by our teachers in the first years in China. The program is approved by Department of Education of Jiangsu Province is ready to enroll students.

The study process will start in September 2024. It is planned to enroll Chinese students to the program. After 3 years, in 2027, the students will come to Kalashnikov ISTU to complete the studies and receive bachelor diplomas, and to proceed with master studies, if they wish.

After the meeting, the Chinese delegation had a tour of our campus, visited laboratories of Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design and got acquainted with artistic works by our students and alumni.

It should be pointed out that this is the first project of the joint study program implemented at Kalashnikov ISTU. It is planned to establish a joint institute together with Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry.
