Rector’s reception of Chinese students

On October 15 Kalashnikov ISTU welcomed Chinese students who had come to learn the Russian language and follow up with bachelor studies in linguistics, physics and mathematics.

Henan Dingsi Education Technology Co, Ltd. sent 9 graduates of high schools of Henan province following the agreement with the corporation administration in summer 2024. The students were accompanied by Lu Guo, Head of International Department and Sha Lu, Head of Educational Department of Henan Dingsi Education Technology Co, Ltd.

Acting Rector of Kalashnikov ISTU Aleksandr Gubert wished the students interesting studies and new impressions. In return, Lu Guo and Sha Lu thanked the Russian colleagues for the heartily reception.

Then there was the students’ turn to demonstrate the Russian language skills in the new environment.

«Hello! My name is... I like mathematics, physics, I am fond of music. It’s nice to meet you», started a young man looking into his smartphone – although with accent but quite understandable. Each of the students prepared his/her own short introduction.

«And how do you like our city, our weather?» asked the hosts. The students were smiling and replying in one-two words, «Nice! It’s beautiful here!» It should be pointed out that our students who had taken part in the internship program and studied for one semester at Beijing Institute of Technology helped with interpreting during the meeting – Gleb Mamaev, Anna Shelpiakova and Valeriia Kudryavtseva perfectly coped with this task.

After the reception, the Chinese students had a tour of our university and Russian language classes starting on the next day.
